11.10 REPlACING ThE COVER GASKET

1) Open the Plexiglas cover as far as possible (95°) (fig. 1).
2) Remove the old gasket by sliding it out of its seat. Clean the seat of
the gasket with neutral detergent (fig. 2).
3) Starting at the centre back of the seat in the cover (on the side of the
hinges), fit the gasket in all the way round (fig. 3) making sure to do
the following:
a) Make the two cuts in the gasket in a neat and precise manner.
b) Check the lip of the gasket faces outwards.
c) Do not stretch the gasket when fitting it in.
4) Run a cycle with the vacuum set at maximum. When the maximum
pressure is reached, turn off the machine at the main switch: the
chamber will be pressurized with the cover down. To check successful
operation, wait for 5 minutes with the cover closed and the chamber
pressurized.
