Playing a Disc

You can also locate a particular point on the
disc during play in four ways.
a) To search quickly while
monitoring the sound
Forward locating at high speed
Keep >
pressed during play and
release it at the desired point.
Reverse locating at high speed
Keep «@<@ pressed during play and
release it at the desired point.
b) To search using an Index*
You can use this function only with a
disc on which index numbers are
recorded,
The selected index number appears in
the display. When searching is finished,
index number changes to the time
display. Press ~— or —~ to locate the
desired index number during play or
pause.
c) To search quickly by observing
the display
Press Il, then keep <4 or DP
pressed. The search speed will
increase, but there will be no sound.
Find the desired point by observing the
display.
Press > orl again at the desired point.
d) To search slowly while
monitoring the sound
Press <¢<4/>~ SLOW during play and
release at the desired point.
When "-OVER-" appears
if you continuously press BB over the last
selection, "-OVER:" appears in the display. Press
K€ or <€4 to return to normal indication.
* What is an index?
This is a number assigned to a section of a
selection (for example, to a movement ina
symphony) for easy locating of a desired
selection.
