Commissioning may only be carried out by qualified
electrical or pneumatic personnel or an instructed person
under the direction and supervision of qualified personnel
(see "Personnel qualifications" on page 67).
Uncontrolled actuator movements when the pneumatics are
switched on
Danger of injury if the system is in an undefined state and the
manual overrides are set to position "1".
Put the system in a defined state before switching it on.
Set all manual overrides to position "0".
Make sure that no personnel are within the hazardous
zone when the compressed air supply is switched on.
Also observe the applicable instructions and safety
information in the VS operating instructions.
1. Switch on the operating voltage (power on).
2. Check the LED displays on all modules (see "Reading the
diagnostic LEDs on the bus coupler", page 87).
3. Switch on the compressed air supply.

System stop

The "system stop" mode of the bus coupler is indicated when
both the RUN and ERR LEDs are flashing fast (see Table 13 on
page 87).
If the system is stopped, the outputs return to a safe mode
(= "0") and the bus traffic to the CAN master is interrupted.
The system stop mode can only be exited by restarting the
module (power on).
If the system stop is activated, this may be due to a one-time
error caused by the hardware or firmware or an invalid node ID
setting (node ID = 0 is not permitted).
