2.4 Explanation of motor controls

Each motor of the ARTROMOT®-S4 has
controls for direct ROM programming.
To program the ranges of motion with the
motor controls, use
– the arrow buttons to adjust values
– the OK button to confirm and save the
last input, to switch to the next param-
eter of the motor concerned
Note!
− When you program the ranges of mo-
tion with the motor controls, the CPM
device moves to the respective settings
at the same time.
− When the motor controls are pressed,
the following parameters are always
adjusted first:
• Motor A: Anteversion – OK –
Retroversion – OK
• Motor B:
Adduction – OK –
Abduction – OK
• Motor C:
Internal Rotation – OK –
External Rotation – OK –
If you want to adjust only one of the
maximum values, it is sufficient to set
this value at the motor concerned and to
press the OK button twice afterwards.
The CPM device automatically identi-
fies the maximum value to adjust and
saves the value. The second value of
the respective plane of motion remains
unchanged.
The direct adjustment via the motor
controls can be enabled and disabled in the
lockout menu of the control pendant (see
section: 5.3).
