Note!
• The programmed values and the values (degrees) measured on the patient may deviate
slightly.
• To ensure physiological motion in the PNF motion pattern, the device simultaneously
moves to the following positions:
– Maximum abduction simultaneous with maximum external rotation and retroversion
– Maximum adduction simultaneous with maximum internal rotation and anteversion
• To ensure that the movements you program are physiological in nature, we recommend to
program the device in the following order:
1. Maximum adduction
2. Maximum internal rotation
3. Maximum anteversion
4. External rotation (to relieve the shoulder)
5. Maximum retroversion
6. Maximum abduction
7. Maximum external rotation
Note!
• After activation of the START button, the device will first enter a neutral position based
on the programmed values. In each case, this is the maximum adduction position, the
position midway between anteversion and retroversion and midway between internal
rotation and external rotation. Then, the device will stop, allowing the patient to be posi-
tioned. When the START button is pressed again (start of therapy), the device first moves
to the maximum position of internal rotation at the same time as to the maximum an-
teversion position in the PNF motion pattern. Motor B (abduction/adduction) is inactive
during this procedure. Once the maximum internal rotation and anteversion positions
have been reached, all three motors (A, B and C) will simultaneously move to the maxi-
mum abduction, retroversion and external rotation positions. After reaching this position,
the cycle restarts: maximum adduction at the same time as maximum anteversion and
maximum internal rotation.
• The elevation movement (flexion) is programmed by means of the abduction/adduction
values (for mechanical adjustment instructions, refer to section 5.6 "Examples of use").
• During programming of the ranges of motion (maximum values), the device moves to the
set positions and the display indicates the movement in steps of 1 degree. This allows you
to determine easily, safely and quickly the ROM where the patient does not experience
pain.
• The difference between the set values of one direction of motion must always be 10° at
minimum. Therefore, it is not possible to select values where the difference would be less.
• For a uniform, smooth and gentle transition between the two directions of motion, the
speed is automatically reduced before reaching the reversal point and, on reaching the
reversal point, it is continuously increased until it reaches the set speed.
