Settings
With "Settings" you access the setup menu. From this menu, a number of basic
settings for the carriage can be performed.
Adjustable parameters:
Adaptive load reversal (reverse-on-load feature for patient
safety/spasm protection)
The reverse-on-load feature is a safety function.
The device automatically starts moving in the opposite direction
when the patient's resistance (load) in the current direction of mo-
tion is too high (e.g., due to a spasm).
The reverse-on-load function is automatically active when the de-
vice operates. Therefore, it can be selected in all operating modes.
The motors continuously measure the average energy necessary to
carry out a movement (depending on the load of the motion ele-
ment) and provide this energy.
If a significant rise in energy demand which exceeds the set toler-
ance range is identified, the reverse-on-load function is activated,
the device stops and reverses its direction of movement. Then, it
starts over with a regular cycle.
The tolerance range between the average energy necessary to carry
out a movement and the threshold for activation of the reverse-on-
load function can be adjusted from 5 to 100% in small steps of 5%.
• 5 % = narrow tolerance range
This means: Very sensitive response of the reverse-
on-load function; a minimal load increase is enough to
activate the function.
• 100 % = wide tolerance range
This means: Less sensitive response of the reverse-on-
load function; a substantial load increase is necessary to
activate the function.
Default setting: 100 %

of cramps, spasms, locked joints and similar conditions. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for misuse of this feature.
Transport setting
With this function, the device will move to a position optimally
suited for packing. Select the function and tap "OK". Then, you
will be guided interactively through the procedure by on-screen
instructions.
