1 Press the TAPE button.
The poweristurned on andthe button lights in red.

If a tape is inserted
You can turn the unit on and begin playback by pressingthe
TAPE button (direct play function).
Open the cassette holder by pressing the- EJECT
mark and insert a tape exposed side down.
Push the cassette holder to close it.
Set DOLBY NR to match the playback tape.
For tapes recorded with DOLBY NR, press the DOLBY NR
buttonto turn_n DO NP_
For tapes recorded without DOLBY NR, press the DOLBY
NR button to torn off [:]DNR.
Press the <11_ button to start playback.
Playback startsfromthe sidefacingyou.
To select a reverse mode -_ []
Each time the REV MODE button is pressed, the reverse mode
changes. I
To play one side only,turn on _.
To play both sides once only, turn on _).
To play bothsides repeatedly,turn on ¢_).
To stop playback
Press the • button.
To pause
Press the II button.
The II buttonflashes.
To resume play, press it again.
To fast forward or rewind
In stop mode, press the <1.< DOWN or I_P, UP button.
To stop fast forward or rewind, pressthe • button.
