RECORDING FROM A CD
Preparation
• Wind up to the pointwhere recordingwill start.
• Use a normal (type I) tape for recording.
1 Insert the tape to be recorded on Into the deck.
Press the _ EJECT mark to open the cassette holder.
Insert the tape with the side to be recordedon first facingyou
and the exposed side down.
2 Set DOLBY NR.
To recordwith DOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR button to turn
on the DE]NP_ndicator.!
To recordwithoutDOLBY NR: Press the DOLBY NR buttonto
turnthe indicatoroff.
3 Set the reverse mode.
Each time the REV MODE button is pressed, the reversemode
changes.
To record on one side o01y,,tumon _-.
To record on bothsides, turn on _-_ or ¢_-).
4 Press the CD button. I
Load discs onto the dlsc trays.
The discloadedontrayI isplayedfirst.
Press the • REC/REC MUTE button to start record-
Ing.
Playingand recordingstartsimultaneouslywiththe firsttrack of
the first disc. All discs in the compartment are recordedif the
tape is long enough.
When you use the remote controlto startrecording,first press
the O/O REC/REC MUTE button and then press the <11_
button within2 seconds.
To stop recording from the CD
Pressthe • buttonto stop the deck, and pressit again to stop the
CD player.
After play stops st the end of the CD
The cassette deck enters recordingstop mode.
To record selected tracks
Before pressing the • RECIREC MUTE button, program the
tracks. (See page 36.)
To record part of the CD
When the • REC/REC MUTE.buttonis pressed, recordingalways
starts fromthe firsttrack. To start in the middleof a track, play the
CD up to the pointwhere youwant to startrecordingand pressthe
II button to pause it. Then press the • REC/REC MUTE button.
