VOCAL FADER FUNCTION
You can obtaina simulatedKaraoke effectby making the singer's
voice on ordinary discsor tapes softerthan the accompaniment.
In addition,the vocal part can be automatically reduced onlywhile
there is audio input through a microphone, by selecting AUTO
VOCAL FADER function.
To select the VOCAL FADER function _ []
Press the VOCAL FADER/MULTIPLEX/OFF button so that /e
lightsup in the display,
To select the AUTO VOCAL FADER function --* []
While the VOCAL FADER function is selected, press the AUTO
VOCAL FADER button sothat both/e andAUTO lightup in the
display.
• The VOCAL FADER function may not work correctlywit_ the
following kinds of CDs or tapes.
- Those with monaural sound
- Those recordedwith strong echoes
- Those with the vocal part receded on the dghtor left side ofthe
sound width
• While the VOCAL FADER fur_ction is on, the sound source is
heard as monaural.

MULTIPLEX FUNCTION
To enjoy Karaoke, youcan also mute the vocal part of multiaudio
discsor tapes. The accompanimentisoutputthroughbothspeak-
ers.
In addition,the vocal part can be automaticallyreducedonlywhile
there is audio input through a microphone, by selecting AUTO
MULTIPLEX function.
Usable multi audio discs and tapes
The MULTIPLEX functionis.designed toworkwith multi audiodiscs
and tapes which have the vocal part on the dght channel andthe
accompaniment on the left channel.
To select the MULTIPLEX function --* []
Press the VOCAL FADER/MULTIPLEX/OFF button so that ie_
flashes in the display.
To select the AUTO MULTIPLEX function _ []
While the MULTIPLEX function is selected, press the AUTO
VOCAL FADER buttonso that /e flashes andAUTO lightsupin
the display.

ECHOING THE SOUND _ []
You can get an echo sound while usingthe microphone.
First,pPessthe MIC ECHO buttonto display=E-ON". Then, adjust
the echo volume with the DIGITAL ECHO control.
To cancel the echoing effect
Press the MIC ECHO buttontwice to display"E-OFF'.
• If the MIC ECHO is set to OFF, the echoing effect cannot be
obtained, though a DIGITAL ECHO control is set to MAX.
• If you select a DSP mode, the MIC ECHO will be set to OFF
automatically.
When the MIC ECHO is set to ON, the selected DSP mode is
automaticallycanceled.
