SETTING T HETIMER
The unit can be turned on at the specifiedtime every day by the
built-intimer. You can also settimer recordingfrom the radioorthe
connected equipment.
Preparation
• Make sure the clock is set correctly. (See page 22.)
• Note that the timer-on period is factory-set to 60 minutes. This
pedod can be changed during timer setting.
Press the TIMER
button
to select timer playback
mode or timer recording
mode.
Each time it is pressed, _) or R_ is displayed.

The IIII SET button lights, and TIMER and one of the source
names flash alternately in the display for 4 seconds. Go to step
2 within these 4 seconds.
If TIMER in the display goes out,
press the TIMER button again.

The hourinthedisplay flashes.
Press the <_ DOWN or _
UP button to designate
the hour of the timer-on time.

The hour stops flashing and the minute starts flashing in the
display.

6 Press the II SET button to set the minute.
The minutestopsflashing in the display.
TIMER and one of the source names flash alternately in the
displayfor 4 seconds. Go to step 7 within these 4 seconds
to select a source.
Press one of the function buttons to select a
source.
The selected source name and TIMER flash alternately in the
display.
After4 seconds,TIM ER inthe displaygoesoutandtimersetting
is completed.
If you selected the timer recording mode in step 1
Only the TUNER or VIDEO/AUX functioncan be selected.
If you press the TUNER/BAND button
The tuner function is selected,but bands cannnot be selected
in thisstep. Go to step 8, and select a band.
