Keep the original packaging materials so that the machine can be safely shipped at a
later date if necessary.
Before moving the equipment, first pull out the power cable from the outlet.
Choose the place of installation in strict observance of local regulations regarding safety
in the workplace.
If the machine is to be installed outdoors, it must be properly protected by a canopy roof
or any other protection device to avoid contact with water.
Place the aligner in the designated work position and make sure that the rear panel of the
machine is at least 25 cm away from the nearest wall.
The radio system between the measuring heads and the central unit works within a radius of
about 15 m.; to prevent loss of signal, radio equipment should be kept away from large metal
items.
Following the instructions in the technical service manual, it is possible to select the
disturbance-free communication channel to optimise communications.
Note
Excessive ambient light levels or direct exposure to sunlight may impair the operation of the
measuring heads, preventing a clear view of the images on the screen.
Make sure that there are no permanent magnets, electromagnets or sources of heat in
the vicinity of the machine as these could cause irreparable damage (they might
irreparably damage the program disk and the Personal Computer).
Take the utmost care when unpacking, assembling, lifting and setting up the machine as
described in this heading.
Failure to observe these instructions can lead to damage to the machine and injury to the
operator or other persons.
