At the end of the steering procedure, a screen appears with icons indicating the operations to
be performed next:
Position the steering wheel with the spokes straight
Lock the steering wheel
If the electronic turntables are installed and the steering box recording function is enabled, the
program will display the icons shown below, indicating the operations to be carried out:
Measure the angle of difference between the current steering box position and
the steering wheel straight position.
Remove the steering wheel.
Put the steering wheel back in place with the spokes straight.
Lock the steering wheel.
Take care over the AIRBAG safety system and steering wheel position sensors,
if installed.
In all cases, the sensor levelling device readings are displayed.
Carry out all the operations indicated by the icons
Press key F3 (Enter) to confirm and advance to the next screen.
At this point the system acquires and saves the "diagnostic" data for the vehicle, i.e. the values
describing the state of the vehicle prior to adjustment.
These values are then shown on the screen of the measurement data summary table.

REAR AXLE MEASUREMENT AND ADJUSTMENT WINDOW

Displays the measured angles for the rear vehicle axis and the reference adjustment tolerances
(fig. 32). The values are continually updated to guide the operator performing the adjustment.
The following keys are active in this window:
- F1
invokes on-line "Help"
- F2
returns to the previous window
- F3
(or Enter) advances to the next window
- F4
sets:

Toe angle
• Degrees;
• Length;
Length
• Millimetres
• Inches
Angles
• Grades
• Degrees
