5.4.10 Adapter cables
Adapter cable 1 684 463 952 (Bosch CRI/piezo CRI)
Adapter cable is needed to actuate the CRI/piezo CRI
via connection X7 of the EPS 118 (fig. 3, item 10).

connection X7 of the EPS 118 (fig. 3, item 10).

5.4.11 Sealing plug 1 683 080 012
The sealing plug included in the scope of delivery is
required for performing the leak check. The sealing plug
has a M12 thread and is screwed onto the connection
adapter for the CRI/CRIN and piezo CRI
(see sec. 5.4.7).
Tightening torque 25 — 30 Nm

The leak test can be called up under "Options >>
Settings >> EPS 118 >> Bleed the system". For
more detailed information see software help.
5.4.12 Protective hood
CRI/CRIN and piezo CRI testing can only be performed
with the protective hood closed. If the protective hood
is opened during the test, it is terminated. The test
must be restarted.

5.4.13 Non-Bosch CRI accessory set 1 687 010 518
(optional accessories)
Accessory set 1 687 010 518 contains all the accesso-
ries used for connecting and testing non-Bosch CRIs
(VDO/Continental/Siemens, Denso and Delphi) to the
EPS 118.

The following accessories are not included in the
scope of delivery of the EPS 118.
Hose assembly 1 684 462 571
The hose assembly 1 684 462 571 connects the VDO/
Continental/Siemens/Denso piezo CRI test oil return to
the return quantity test connection (fig. 3, item 3).

Please note that some adapter cables are Brand
specific, and should always be examined carefully
before connecting on the injector. If a wrong adapter
cable is used, the injector under test might malfunc-
tion permanently.
The connection cable is needed to actuate the non-
Bosch CRI via connection X7 of the EPS 118 (fig. 3,
item 10). The injector-specific adapter cable is also
needed to connect to the CRI/piezo CRI.
