Description of the "expert" display mode
This method is intended for the advanced operator. It
provides a detailed test procedure with all of the test
items (fig. 29). For each test item, it provides a detailed
"Passed" or "Not passed" test log (fig. 30). The mea-
surement results are also displayed in bar form. De-
pending on the result of the measurement, the bars are
displayed in color:

7. Operation
7.1 Switch-on/switch-off
¶
Use the mains switch to switch on the EPS 118
(fig. 2, item 1).
 EPS 118 starting. If the screen is not activa-
ted, press and hold the computer on/off switch
(fig. 1, item 3) until the computer vendor logo is
shown.

Before switching off with the mains switch, briefly press
the computer power on/off switch (fig. 1, item 3).

Prior to switching on again, the EPS 118 must have
been switched off for at least 60 s.

EPS 118 Do not switch off the while injector test-
ing is in progress (except in the case of emergency
stop). Before unplugging the power supply cable,
first turn off the EPS 118 by switching off the mains
switch (fig. 2, item 1).
7.2

Printer Connection

Before switching on the EPS 118, always connect
the printer using the USB connecting cable (fig. 2,
item 6) unless a Wi-Fi printer is being used.

While the EPS 118 is operating, problems may arise
if auxiliary equipment is used (e.g. printer, connect-
ing cables) that has not been approved by Bosch.
