4. Continue to the (high-pressure) static leak test by
pressing <Next>.
 The maximum test pressure accumulates. If the-
re is leakage in the injection nozzle or at the con-
nections, immediately stop the test by pressing
<Stop>.
 Once the test pressure is reached and the test
time is over, the button <Continue> is displayed.
5. Go to the dynamic leak test with <Continue>.
i
Step 3/3 is a dynamic leak test with injection. The
CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI is subject to the maximum
permissible pressure and is actuated. The injector
nozzle of the CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI must therefore
be inserted into the injection chamber.
6. Open the protective hood.
7. Insert the CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI into the injection
chamber and clamp (see sec. 5.4.6).
8. Close the protective cover.
9. Continue testing with <Start>.
 Once the test pressure is reached and the test
time is over, the button <Continue> is displayed.
10. Stop the dynamic leak test and continue testing with
<Continue>.
i
If there is a leak, the EPS 118 software immediately
stops the test and displays a message.

Tests
In each test sequence, different test steps are saved
(full load, idle, etc.) with test values. After the leak
test, testing starts and each test step is automatically
processed sequentially. Depending on the display mode
(normal or expert), different information on the test is
displayed.
The expired test time and the remaining time are shown
on the screen. After the remaining time is over, the
test log can be retrieved. The test can be stopped with
<Stop>.
i
If there is a leak, the EPS 118 software immediately
stops the test and displays a message.
i
If a CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI does not pass a test
step, the EPS 118 software stops the test. A query
is displayed asking whether the last test should be
repeated, or if a test log should be generated up to
this test step.

Test report
Once a test is successfully completed, a test log is gen-
erated and displayed on the screen.
i
All test logs are automatically saved on the EPS 118.
After a test log is retrieved, it can be deleted with
<Delete>.
i
Enter search criteria such as the date (yyyy-mm-dd)
and/or type part number into the "Filter protocols"
input box to filter the list, and only those test proto-
cols that meet the search criteria are displayed.
Printing a test report:
1. Select <Logs> in the start screen.
2. Search and select the desired test log in the list.
3. Select <Parts>.
4. Select the "PrintHand" application.
i
When you use "PrintHand" for the first time, you
are requested to set up your printer. Select <Wi-Fi
printer in the environment> if the printer is located
on a WLAN network or <USB printer> if the printer
is connected to the EPS 118 by a USB connecting
cable. <Find USB printers> is used to search for the
USB printer. If <Wi-Fi printer in the environment> is
selected, "PrintHand" starts searching for a printer
on the WLAN network. You can find additional infor-
mation about PrintHand in the online help.
5. Select <Print> and follow the instructions.
"
The test log is printed.
Save the test log on a USB drive (such as a USB stick):
1. Plug a USB drive (such as a USB stick) into the USB
port (fig. 2, item 6).
2. Select <Logs> in the start screen.
3. Search and select the desired test log in the list.
4. Select <Save to USB flash drive>.
"
The test log is saved on the USB drive.
