Warning notices -
Structure and meaning
Warning notices warn of dangers to the user or people
in the vicinity. Warning notices also indicate the con-
sequences of the hazard as well as preventive action.
Warning notices have the following structure:

Observe all warning notices on products and ensure
they remain legible.
WARNING - Risk of burns from hot surfaces
Contact with hot components and the hot
test equipment (e.g. injector) may cause
severe burns.

DANGER - Risk of fatal injury from electro-
magnetic fields
The high voltages at the CRI Piezo (charging
of the actuators) and at the adapter cables
are a source of potential fatal injury for per-
sons wearing pace-makers.

Anyone wearing a pace-maker is not
allowed to perform "Common Rail Injector
(CRI Piezo)" testing.
WARNING – Risk of fire and explosion due
to flammable vapors
There is a risk of fire and explosion when
working with flammable vapors in the
vicinity of the EPS 118 as components of
the EPS 118 could give rise to arcing and
sparkover. Explosions can cause burns and
injuries.

Never expose the EPS 118 to flammable
vapors.
¶
Install the EPS 118 at least 460 mm above
the floor.
The single-phase AC network for the EPS 118
must be protected by an automatic circuit
breaker.
Unplug the single-phase AC connector before
performing service work on the EPS 118.
