2. Parameter list
On the left you will see a clearly arranged list of all
the parameters for the selected transmitter control,
together with their set values.
3. Graph
The graph on the right of the screen shows in
graphic form the effect of all the settings you have
selected. The curve immediately reflects any
changes you make to the settings, and also clearly
shows the behaviour of the transmitter control: the
vertical dotted line shows the current position of the
control.
In addition to the set-up parameters, the screen also
shows two more items of information:
The small, high-set hyphen following the parameter
name indicates that this value can be allocated to one
of the 3-D digi-adjusters, and can then be adjusted in
flight ( 20.1.):
Expo —
The small number ( 1 to 4 ) following the parameter
name indicates that this value may vary from flight
phase to flight phase (
Trim ˜
Some parameters can be allocated to a 3-D digi-
adjuster, and can also be set to different values for
each flight phase. In this case both symbols are dis-
played:

One trim value for each flight phase
The digital trim position is displayed graphically in bar-
form in status displays 1 - 3. The parameter Trim also
shows the trim setting of the transmitter control in the
appropriate flight phase as a % value.

The range of the digital trims of the ROYAL
20 steps. The parameter Step can be used to define
the trim change for each trim increment as a % figure.
For example, you could obtain a maximum trim range
of ± 10% with Step 0.5%, and ± 30% with Step 1.5% :

Note:
If the associated transmitter control is not at
centre, then any alteration in the trim increment
size automatically affects the trim value (trim
setting). In this case you must adjust the trim
accordingly.
For general-purpose use an increment size of 1.5%
has proved a good compromise. However, for very
fast models with accurate control surface linkages, or
models with very large control surface travels (e.g.
fun-fly types) an increment size of 1.5% may be too
large. In this case you should set Step to 0.5% , which
will provide very fine trim control.

Parameter Mode (throttle trim)

15.4.3.
The trim of the transmitter control Throttle enables
the user to adjust and fine-tune the idle speed in
models with internal-combustion engines. The pa-
rameter Mode also determines the throttle trim's
method of working:
Mode = HALF : the trim of the Throttle control only
affects the range from idle to half-throttle.
Mode = FULL : the trim of the Throttle control affects
the full range from idle to full-throttle.

Parameter D/R (Dual-Rate)

The purpose of Dual Rates is to alter the sensitivity of
particular transmitter controls. If the Dual-Rate para-
meter for one control function (e.g. Elevator ) is set
to 50% , you can switch to finer control of the model by
operating the switch assigned to Dual-Rate, thereby
reducing the travel of the model's control surfaces to
half. When you operate the switch assigned to Dual-
Rate, the transmitter control curve in the graph
changes accordingly:
