The parameter Trvl works in a similar way to Dual-
Rate: it provides a means of influencing (reducing) the
sensitivity of a transmitter control. The difference with
Trvl is that the influence varies from one flight phase
to the next, i.e. you can set a separate value in each
flight phase. For example, in the flight phase NORMAL
= 100% for maximum control response, and in the
flight phase SPEED1 = 60% for finer control at high
speed:
Note:
At any one time the screen can only display the set-up
value for the active flight phase. If you wish to change
the values for other flight phases, please remember
that you must first activate the appropriate flight phase
before you actually alter the value.

Parameter Expo

15.4.6.
for controls:
Aileron , Elevator , Rudder
Roll, Pitch, Yaw
for controls:
-100% to +100%
Adjustment
Can be allocated to a 3-D digi-adjuster
range:
(
20.1.)
One value for each flight phase
Expo can be used to assign an exponential charac-
teristic to a transmitter control curve. At Expo = 0% the
transmitter control works in a linear fashion. The effect
of negative Expo values is that the transmitter control
generates small control surface travels around the
centre position, providing finer control for the pilot.
The effect of positive Expo values is that the control
surface travels are increased around the centre po-
sition. In either case the end-points of the travel are
unchanged when Expo is used, i.e. full travel is still
available when required:

Parameter Fixed Value

15.4.7.
Spoiler , Flap
for controls:
Adjustment
-100% ... OFF ...+ 100%
range:
One value for each flight phase.
Can be allocated to a 3-D digi-adjuster
(
20.1.)
This parameter can be used to generate fixed (flight
phase specific) control surface travels which cannot
be changed by the associated transmitter control. If
Fixed value = OFF , the control surfaces are con-
trolled directly by the relevant transmitter controls.
A typical example of this is thermal and speed settings
for a four-flap model glider (e.g. F3B). For example, if
you activate the flight phase THERMAL1 , ailerons and
camber-changing flaps (Flaps) move to a different
neutral position optimised for thermal flying (e.g. fixed
value Flap Thermal = -30% ). If you set Fixed value
= OFF in the flight phase NORMAL , and select the flight
phase NORMAL , the neutral position of the ailerons and
camber-changing flaps in our example will be under
proportional control using the transmitter control as-
signed to Flap.

before you actually alter the value.

Parameter Time

15.4.8.
Spoiler , Flap , L. gear
for controls:
L. gear
for control:
0.0s to 6.0s
Adjustment
Can be allocated to a 3-D digi-adjuster
range:
(
20.1.)
The parameter Time is used to determine the period
of time over which the transmitter control runs from
one end-point to the other. This makes it possible for
a process to be carried out slowly, over a specific pe-
riod, even though it is operated by a switch.
Examples:
Extend Retracts ( L. gear ) slowly, so that the process
looks true to scale.
Extend Spoiler (airbrakes / landing flaps) slowly, to
avoid the model carrying out abrupt movements when
the spoilers are deployed.

Parameter Limit

15.4.9.
Throttle
for control:
Throttle
for control:
0.0s to 6.0s
Adjustment
Can be allocated to a 3-D digi-adjuster
range:
(
20.1.)
Slow function for throttle limiter: this parameter is used
to define the period over which throttle runs up to
speed.
