4. Function and description

4.1. Generality

The travflex™ 2 lifeline delivered by Tractel
consists of the following elements arranged as shown
in Figures 1 and 2 (page 3), showing a typical flexible
installation, adaptable to the site that needs to be
equipped (horizontal installation in terrace, roof or
vertical on wall or siding):
– Two end anchors (A),
– A cable tensioner with a capacity of 130 mm (B)
having a mooring spindle at each end locked by a
spring ring pin,

has a sleeved loop at one end, equipped with a lug,

number depending on the length of the lifeline, if it
