the slider must be achieved in an area in safety, without
risk of falling.
"IMPORTANT": The travsmart slider is the only
method of connecting the operator to the travflex™ 2
lifeline.
The use of any other means of connection to the line

8.3.2. Setting up the EN 362 connector wire on
the slider
The following procedure refers to Figure 25 on page 13:
a. Open the connector by acting on the lock (ind. 2) and
flip the safety latch (ind. 3).
b. Hook the connector to one of the anchoring openings
(ind. 9) of the travsmart slider, located at the end of
the handle (ind. 8).
c. Allow to the connector safety latch to return to
position and clamp the lock.

"IMPORTANT": It is essential for the safety of
the operator that the lock as well as the safety latch
are properly locked as soon as connection is made.
It is essential to use a connector wire diameter not
exceeding 11 mm.
8.3.3. Implementation of the slider on the lifeline
The following procedure refers to Figure 26 on page 14:
a. Unlock the jaw (ind. 6) by acting on the lock (ind. 5).
b. Trip the jaw (ind. 6) to the inside of the slider and
then release the lock (ind. 5).
c. Insert the cable of the travflex™ 2 lifeline (ind. 10)
into the opening of the slider and release the jaw
(ind. 6).
d. Check that jaw (ind. 6) is properly clamped by the
lock (item 5).

8.3.4. Tripping over the EN 362 connector wire on
the slider
The following procedure refers to Figure 27 on page 15:
"IMPORTANT": under no circumstances may
the travsmart slider be used with the EN 362 wire
connector (ind. 1) moored into the rocker (ind. 12). This
configuration of use may cause premature wear of the
slider to the right of the opening for passing the anchors
(ind. 13).
"NOTE": For left-handed use of the line, the
EN 362 wire connector must be placed on the anchoring
opening (ind. 9) on the right side of the slider and vice
versa if the operator is right-handed. Failure to comply
with this rule will compromise optimal slider transition
over intermediary and bend anchors.
a. Push in the button (item 14), then tilt the rocker lever
(item 11) opposite the connector (item 1).
b. Insert the connector (item 1) in the rocker opening
(item 12), then release the tilt lever (item 11) and also
the button (item 14).
c. Press in the button again (item 14) while holding the
slider and pull on the connector in order to locate it in
the opposite anchor opening (item 9).
d. Release the button (item 14) and check that
the connector is firmly installed in the anchor
opening(item 9) and that the tilt lever (item 11) is
correctly repositioned and locked in rotation.

8.4.1. General
In order to facilitate the installation of the travflex™ 2
lifeline and ensure safe access to the right of the end
and bend anchors, Tractel
with a one-person fall arrest anchor point compliant with
the EN 795-A Standard.
"IMPORTANT": The coupling and uncoupling of
the operator to/from the anchor point must be in a safe
area, without risk of falling.
"IMPORTANT": In no case can the bend anchor
point be used as an anchor of the lifeline.
