Disassembly of crankcase, cranckshaft and lay shaft
Perform the following on the R.H. crankcase, proceed as follows.
Straighten the safety washers; remove the nuts (1 and 2: 38 mm and 27 mm
wrenches) securing the crankshaft and lay shaft (remove the layshaft
fastening nut on L.H. side too).
Remove the lay shaft counterweight (3) and the key.
Remove the two gears (A) on the crankshaft and the key.
Remove the two screws locking the blade valve (4) and remove it.
Using a 8 mm wrench, unlock the 2 screws then remove the neutral sensor
(5) with seal ring, pin and spring.
Withdraw the timing chain (6).
