Emergency mode ‚Wheel detection'
On very few vehicles, especially very sporty ones, the infrared
wheel detector has difficulties in distinguishing the wheels from
a very low body of the car. For these cases, you can use the
‚Emergency mode wheel detection'.
Also here, you call the selection screen first by pressing Shift-F1.
In the menu shown there, you can select on which axle(s) you want
to have the emergency mode instead of the regular wheel
detection. After the measuring process, you can cancel the
emergency mode in the same way.
In this emergency mode ‚Wheel detection', the system
does two basic assumptions: The car's front wheels are
on the center of the turntables, and the wheelbase of
the databank selection matches reality.

Emergency mode ‚Measuring plates'
There is a set of 4 special Four-Point-Clamps (1 987 009 G62N)
with mounted target plates. With these, you can measure even in
those rare cases, where there is either not the whole wheel visible,
or there is another wheel-depending reason that measurement
does not work.

To measure with the targets, activate the emergency mode
‚Measurement Plates' by pressing Shift-F1 -> Emergency Mode
Measurement Plates, and there, you select the axle(s), on which
you want to use the measurement plates. Please note that use of
the measurement plates does NOT change the working range
regarding ambient light, and that using the measurement plates
will make the whole assembly wider.

The lift is blocked
In the safety concept of the lift, there are two safety monitoring
systems: The equality monitor, and the saftey cutoff ‚PIK'. In case
the lift stops and does not react to the lift control panel any more,
please try the black bypass button first. You can find it in the
bottom of the cabinet, on the front side behind the removable front
panel.
Keep this button depressed. First, you should try to equalize
possibly existing height differences by pressing simultaneously
the green ‚Equalize' button. Afterwards, please drive the lift down
all the way. Do not forget to keep the ‚Down' button depressed
below the CE-Stop until the beeping stops by itself.
If the lift can not be moved using the bypass button, use the
procedure given in 3.3.6 in order to unlock the safety cutoffs.
