Keep both glass panes at the front side of the probes clean. You
can use an ordinary glass cleaner and a soft rag. After cleaning,
both glass panes should be free of streaks.
While exchanging the lamps of the probes it is absolutely neces-
sary to clean the filters of the fans. Here you can also use a
crosshead screwdriver. Please take out the crosshead screw,
which is located on the side of the probe, above the label with the
serial number. As soon as you have removed the cover you can
take out the filter.
Clean it by using a compressed- air pistol.
If the filter is as dirty as shown in the picture above, please use a
replacement filter with the article- no. 1 987 009 GT5N. Please
do not forget to fix the cover after fitting the filter.

Plate calibration run
The support structures of front turnplates and rear slip plates are
hydraulically moveable. At the beginning and the end of the
measurement process, they should be in their neutral position.
Caused by the mechanical design, and by some slip in the
measurement system, it can happen that this position shifts a little.
In most of those cases, the system will remark this by itself, and
you will be prompted for a plate calibration run at the end of the
process.
It is of utmost importance to follow the advice given
there, and remove the vehicle before pressing ‚Ok'. If
not, you risk damage of plates and car, especially with
4x4 vehicles.
