Next to that field, the values are identified by a symbol. Here are
the symbols for the most important values. From left to right:
Individual toe - Camber - Thrust Angle - Total Toe - Caster:
Little coloured symbols tell you whether a certain value is adjus-
table (small yellow symbol with a spanner), and whether there is
adjustment help available (blueishcamera symbol).
Here, we show two examples for results of the quick overview. On
the left side, the vehicle is ok, to the right you see one where a lot
of work is awaiting you.

At first glance, that screen may look overloaded. But, its purpose
is not to work with all these numbers. All that is supposed to do
is a quick overview, using colours and the diagram in the center.
The individual values will be shown in the adjustment screen with
much greater detail and bigger numbers, that are easier to read.
Whether you're already finished or enter one of the adjustment
screens, will depend on these factors:
- What is adjustable at all
- How big are the deviations. Normally, you will get the values
with the adjustment tolerances. The verification tolerances are
much greater. First, it is important that the two individual toe
values right and left are moreorless equal (+/-3') with theh
steering wheel straight. In that case, the vehicle will not have a
crooked steering wheel while driving straight. In total toe, there
should be no deviation from the setpoint of more than 15', or
you risk uneven wearout. In camber, it is important that the
values on the front axle with even load right-left, are equal +/-
30' either with or without someone in the driver's seat. Please
note that the camber values are extremely dependent on the lift
level and the tyre pressure.
- Do you have special tools available that might be required to
perform certain adjustment work. The adjustment information
can tell you about eventual necessitites. Just click on the
camera symbol:
If the smartcard ‚Animation' (1 987 009 AS1N) is installed on
your system, the adjustment is even shown like a video.
Depending on your selection, you can now go on in 4.4 with
adjustment work, or you proceed directly to the documentation
section in 4.5.
