3.3.6.1 Raising the lift with a vehicle on it
- Put the car on the lift, make sure to have it centered in
transversal direction. Put it on the center of the turntables with
the front wheels.
- Make sure the car can not roll away. Do this by using first gear
/ Automatic drive in ‚P'.
- Check the surrounding area. It is not permitted to have persons
or other objects in reach or on the lift.
- Isolator switch has to be „on".
- Lift the car by pressing button ‚Up' (2).
- Keep this button depressed until the car is on the desired
height.
- You have to carefully watch the lift and the car during that
operation.
- Afterwards, you keep the ‚Equalize' button (4) depressed until
the hydraulic pump stops by itself.
3.3.6.2 Lowering the lift with a car on it
- Check the surrounding area. It is not permitted to have persons
or other objects in reach or on the lift.
- Press the ‚Down' button (3) and keep it depressed. The lift may
shortly move upward to unlock the SST system, before begin-
ning to move down.
- At a defined height above the floor, the movement stops by itself
(CE-Stop).
After carefully checking the area below the lift, press ‚Down'
button again, and keep it depressed. During the downward
movement of the lift from the CE Stop to the floor, there will be
an audible signal. Please keep the ‚Down' button depressed
until this signal stops by itself.
- You have to carefully watch lift and car on the way down.
- If you release the ‚Down' button before the beeping stopped by
itself, the measurement system will not be correctly in zero
position! This may cause level errors if done frequently.
- When the lift has reached the fully down position, you may
carefully drive the vehicle from the lift.

3.3.6.3 Manual Equalization of the runways
- If the Plate/Lift controller detects a height difference of approx.
40 mm from one side to the other, it will automatically stop.
- To bring the runways back to equal height and to unlock the
safety cutoff, there are some steps to be followed.
- Get access to the lower part of the cabinet, removing the lower
cover plate. Please note the black button at the front of the
retractable electrical compartment. This one will be used later
to bypass the measurement system. You may try to equalize by
keeping this black bypass button depressed and at the same
time operating the green ‚Equalize' button. If that does not work,
follow the next steps.
- On the Plate/Lift Controller board, that is located on the
retractable electrical compartment, you will find a DIP switch
block as shown here. Normally, you find only DIP 5 in ‚On'
position (automatic operation).
Changing the position of DIP switches may only be done by
trained personnel. These are the switches to be used:
- DIP 5 on/off (Automatic / Manual Mode)
- DIP 1 on/off (Runway 1 moving/not moving)
- DIP 2 on/off (Runway 2 moving/not moving)
- DIP 7 (Reset lift measurement system - normally in fully down
position)
How to equalize by bringing Runway 1 to the same height as
Runway 2:
- DIP 5 to „off" (manual mode, no regulation)
- DIP 1 to „on" (Only runway 1 moving)
- Keep the black bypass button depressed and at the same time
press the ‚Up' or ‚Down' button of the lift, depending on what
is required to bring the two runways to the same height.
- DIP 2 also in ‚on' position
- Keep the black bypass button depressed and at the same time
press the Down' button of the lift, keep this one also depressed
until the lift is all the way down.
- Put DIP 1 and 2 both in „off", DIP 5 in „on" position. Autoamtic
control is reactivated.
- At the end, put DIP 7 shortly on-off in order to reset both sides
of the measurement system.
