Whenever else you would like to execute a plate calibration run,
call the selection screen (Shift-F1), there you select the button for
plate calibration (right).
In the following screen, you tick the boxes for ‚Front', ‚Rear' or both
of them. Then you press ‚Plate Calibration'. Different from the
automatic process, you will be prompted to press ‚ok' after each
step of the calibration. At the end of this procedure, you will have
the plates back in perfect neutral position.

Troubleshooting

Quick checklist
· Robot is running much slower than usual along the lift, or even
stops with a message ‚Barrier found' -> Possibly dirt in the
robot rail. Cleaning as described in 8.3.
· Robots have been stopped with the emerency stop during the
process -> Bring back in initial position (‚General Reset'),
restart measurement process.
· Wheel center can not correctly be found by the robot -> check
whether there are any objects placed on the lift that the infrared
wheel detector could interpret as a wheel.
· Readings are fluctuating strongly (more than +/- 2') -> Possible
causes are big water drops on the wheel (swipe), a thick layer
of black brake disk dust (steam off), or too much ambient light.
Otherwise call the support.

In all cases where the system can not measure, there will be the
probe diagnostic screen popping up and inform you about the
source of the problem, i.e. on which wheel, eventually in what
sector of the wheel. Normally, the system will resume once the
problem is solved. But you can also abort the measurement
process from that screen (Cancel -> General Reset -> yes) or
start the gray code of the probes once again, by pressing ‚Yes'
on the bottom left of the screen.
- If there is a vehicle where the probe can not measure in spite
of all the hints being followed, use the procedure given in 9.2.
- There are no coloured stripes although a measurement has
started -> Check first whether the projector lamp is on at all.
You can tell from the light blue shimmer on the left top inside the
probe, looking through the window. If you do not see that blue
shimmering, this can be after turning the system on too fast after
shutting it down. As a consequence, the lamp does not ignite.
You can identify that situation if there are more than two yellow
LEDs on at the PC inside the probe.
In that case, shut the system completely down, as described in
4.6. This time you have to follow the hint to wait more than a
minute after turning the isolator switch off, only then you turn it
back on. Following the correct procedure, the lamp will ignite.
· System shows completely unreasonable values -> Do a cross
check with a vehicle that is relatively new. If it fails, call the
service for calibration.
