Robot Settings

Most of the settings given in here are not used. Please do only
ensure that for the point ‚Run out compensation', there is the
selection on ‚automatic', and not on ‚manual'.

Lift

The lift has an additional datalink to the PC's COM1. If this
point has the selection ‚enabled', the lifting height left/right at
the time of the final measurement is printed on the protocol,
and can give evidence whether the lift was properly levelled
with the green button.

ASA Network

- ASANetwork can be disabled or enabled. In addition, there is
a mode ‚XML Out', in which the results of the measurement
are being saved as an XML file. All but the option ‚Disabled'
do require installation of the unlocking smartcard ASANet-
work (Special accessory 1 987 009 AS7N).
- DLOC: Identifier of this aligner in the ASANetwork

User Settings

From the start screnn, you press
get into the user's setup. These settings may be changed by every
user, there is no password protection on them. They are used to
customize the look of the program, and some functional details,
as needed.
Setup
The options in this menu are offered in different groups. Each
group contains related options. For each option, there are two or
more possible settings. First, you select the group, using the keys
o, u. Then you confirm with the enter key (E) to get into the
selection of options. Again with enter, you get into the list of
possible settings for this option. With the <ESC> key, you can
get out of the list into the list of options, or out of the list of options
into the list of groups. From there, pressing <ESC> will bring you
to the exit button.
From there, you will be prompted to confirm saving of the
changes. Please confirm with ‚Yes'.
Changes will only get effective after saving and getting
out of the setup.

Customization

- Working Language: You can select the language of the aligner
program's menus out of a list bof 33 available languages.
Please note that the working language can be selected diffe-
rent from the printout language.
- Printout Language: Also here, there are 33 different langua-
ges available. Please note that you may have to adapt the
language settings in Windows, refer to the installation manual
of the PC.
- Logo: The lower section of the start screen can contain one of
the following:
Standard: no logo
D.C. Fahrwerksvermessung: Mercedes logo
Pers. Logo #1: customer logo No. 1, coming from the file
logofef.bmp in c:\program files\alignment\graphics\logo
Pers. Logo #2: the same, but file logofew.bmp
You may individually change the bmp files, but you have to
keep size and resolution the same.
- Customized text: Four lines of text on the start screen and the
top of the printout. For example, the name and address of the
workshop can be put there. To change the text, toggle to the
deisred line with the keys (o),(u), then press (E). Text can be
edited in the blue field on the bottom of the screen. When done,
press (E). (Refer also to the video create_address.avi on the
Aligner CD, folder \movies.

- Advertising slogan: Four more lines of text, that is printed on
the bottom of the printout. You can use this e.g. for advertising
slogans etc. The text lines are modified as described above.
