- Place the same car BACKWARDS on the lift. Again, do a
measurement with runout compensation. Here, you have to skip
steering, as the steering wheel of the car would influence the
measured values that are indicated as ‚Rear axle'. From the data
summary screen, click the rear axle adjustment screen and wait
until you have live values indicated. The robots are now measuring
the real front axle of the car.
Use the steering wheel to make the thrust angle exactly 0°00'.
Lock the steering wheel in this position. Now, call the front axle
screen. Wait until live values are being displayed. Then, enter the
print preview. Mark the job record with the comment ‚Backwards',
and print it out.
- Evaluation: Camber Rear Right ‚Forward' has to be similar to the
camber value Front Left ,Backwards'. Maximum difference 10'.
Camber Rear Left ‚Forward' has to be similar to the camber value
Front Right ,Backwards'. Maximum difference 10'.
Rear Total Toe ‚Forward' has to be nearly equal to the neative (!)
Total Toe ‚Backwards'. Maximum difference: 10'.
Please note: The differences at this kind of on-car verification are
much higher than the differences in a purely metrological sensor
head cross check on conventional aligners.

Maintenance and cleaning

Before doing maintenance work, make sure that there is nothing
endangering persons, and that there are no objects placed in a
way that they can be damaged by the maintenance work.
Every 3 months, the user has to do preventative maintenance
according to the description given here. In case of extemely
intensive use, that maintenance as to be done more often.
During daily operation, you always have to keep an eye on the
function of the lift. When you perceive problems or even hydraulic
leakages, you have to call the service.
8.1.1

Maintenance plan for the lift

- Clean pistons of the lifting cylinders of sand and dirt. The
spindles have to be slightly greased (approx. 5g on each side)
with some high performance lubrificant, like S2 DIN 51503
KE2G-60 from Renolit.
- Bolts and bearings, sliding blocks and sliding surfaces have to
be cleaned, and inspected for wear&tear. If required, excange
them.
- Grease all movin parts (rotating bolts, sliding blocks and sliding
surfaces)
- Put multi-purpose grease in all greasing points.
- Check powder coating, and put some paint over parts where
the coating is damaged.
- Visual inspection of all weldings.
- Inspect all hydraulic pipes and hoses for leakages.
- Check the filling level of the hydraulic oil. If needed, refill with
clean hydraulic oil that has a viscosity of 32 cst. If required, do
a complete oil change.
- At least once per year, you have to do a complete oil change.
To do this, bring the lift all the way down. Drain the oil container,
and put fresh oil in. The manufacturer recommends clean, high
performance hydraulic oil with a viscosity of 32 cst. With
ambient temperatures below 5°C, you have to use ATF-Suffix
hydraulic oil (e.g. produced by Oest). The required amount of
oil is approx. 40 Litres. After filling, the oil level has to be
between the minimum and maxímum marking on the oil level
detector.

- According to German safety legislation VBG14 § 52-3, hydrau-
lic hoses have to be exchanged as needed, but latest after 6
years.
- The small battery on the plate/lift controller board has a lifetime
of around 4 ½ - 5 years. To avoid perrmanent loss of data/
parameters after that time, you have to replace that battery after
4 years. For this, you have to contract your dealer's after sales
service, or consult with the spare parts list.
- Verify that all screws are securely tightened according to the
manufacturer's specification.
8.1.2

Cleaning of the lift

Regular and carefuly cleaning of the lift ensures the high value of
the system. Also, it can be a prerequisite to keep your warranty on
damages by corrosion.
The best protection against corrosion is to clean all kind of dirt
away from the lift as soon as possible.
This goes especially for:
- Salt
- Sand, gravel,dirt
- Industrial dust of all kind
- Water ; also correlated with other ambiental influences
- Aggressive sediments of all kind
- Permanent moisture without sufficient ventilation
The necessary frequence for cleaning the lift will mainly depend
on factors like frequence of use, care while using it, cleanliness of
the workshop, position of the lift. Also, the amount of dirt will
depend a lot on the season, the climatic conditions, and the
ventilation of the workshop. Under worst circumstances, you may
have to clean the whole lift weekly, but it also can be sufficient to
do this once per month.
Do not use abrasive or aggresive cleansers, but mild washing
liquids and warm water.
- Avoid using high pressure cleaners
- Carefully remove all dirt with a sponge and/or a brush.
- Make sure to rinse all cleanser from the lift.
- After cleaning, you have to swipe the lift dry with some cloth.
8.2

Robot maintenance

Most important maintenance point is to keep the robot's rails
clean. Minimum twice per year, with a lot of dust and dirt much
more often, you have to remove dirt and abrased material.
You get access to the lateral rails by opening the service doors
along the side cover of the lift. For this, you open three allen
screws per door, and remove the door. Then, you can use a
vacuum cleaner and maybe a brush to clean rack and rail insode
of the cover.
