Keyboard

The best way to keep the keyboard clean is to use a vacuum
cleaner on a regular basis. To ensure a long life for the keyboard,
it is recommended to always shut the keyboard drawer when the
keyboard is not needed.
8.3.3

Printer

Next to empty ink cartridges, it can also happen that the ink
injection nozzles are dried up. There is a special software program
to clean the cartridges automatically. It is preinstalled on the PC,
and can be found when exiting the program to Windows
(password required). You press Start -> Configurations -> Prin-
ter. There will be a list of the installed printers, select the correct
one and right-click the mouse on it. Select the properties page.
In that one, you will find a menu point that deals with troubleshoo-
ting and printer maintenance. If nothing else, exchanging the
cartridges will change the complete printing relevant part, thus
will solve most of the possible problems.
8.4

Probes

Especially the two glass windows at the front of the probes have
to be cleaned regularly. For this, it is recommended to use some
standard glass cleander and a soft cloth. At the end of the
cleaning process, both windows have to be absolutely clean and
clear.
The lamps in the projector are also a time-changeable item. These
are wear&tear parts, and should be exchanged every 3000
operating hours. Their lighting power will otherwise significantly
decrease, causing enormous light sensitivity.
It is highly recommended to always have a spare lamp
G94N around, for the rare case that one lamp would break
prematurely.
! For exchanging the lamp, you shut the system down comple-
tely, as described in 4.6.
For exchanging the lamps of the probes incl. their support you
simply need the replacement lamp with the article- no. 1 987 009
G94N and a screwdriver. Further tools are not necessary.
- If you use the light protection, please dismount it.
- Shut down the system properly und turn the main switch to
position 0.
- Open the service hatch at the front side of the probe; take out
the four crosshead screws.

touch any internal components!
- The lamp is locked with three knurled screws. Please turn the
screws upwards.
