"Stay healthy" Food Pyramid
A balanced diet is literally on everyone's lips!
Our nutrition is one of the really major social issues!
In the meantime, it has been proven repeatedly that a balanced
diet together with adequate physical activity keeps you fit and productive –
into ripe old age. A balanced diet gives our
body energy and important nutrients and can therefore
prevent disease. For children, a good diet is essential for growth and
development.
What young children learn, adults can use!
To be able to develop healthy eating habits, it is important
to begin nutritional education early. Designed with children in mind,
the Wehrfritz "Stay healthy" Food Pyramid can be a playful introduction to the
topic in preschool, kindergarten, and
elementary school, since it is a concrete
model for visualizing recommendations for a balanced and
health-promoting diet. In therapy as well, it offers immediate
access to the topic – and can also be used by adults for
refreshing and broadening their knowledge.
Using the pyramid is child's play and self-explanatory.
The larger the field is for a food group on a level, the more frequently should the
food in that group be eaten.
Conversely, the smaller the level or the field is, the smaller the servings should be.
The largest level forms at the same time the basis – these foods are therefore the-
quantitative foundation for a balanced diet.
In addition to the size of the levels and fields, colors are used according to the
traffic light principle from dark green to light green, yellow and orange to red, to
illustrate what should be eaten often, in moderation, and rarely.
