4. DESCRIPTION S 1000
S 1000 is an electropneumatic/hydraulic universal tyre changer for changing passenger
car, off-road and light commercial vehicle tyres.
The S 1000 is capable of bead breaking, demounting and mounting any type of tyre with
rim sizes from 13" to 32" with extreme ease, and also introduces a number of additional
improvements:
- to reduce the physical exertion of the operator;
- to protect the wheel and tyre;
- to automate, as far as possible, operations that up until now have been manually per-
formed by the operator.
The machine features:
- manual setting with radial positioning of the mounting and demounting tools and the
bead breaker discs.
- Revolver head with automatic or console-activated bidirectional vertical stroke, for bead
breaking and obtaining optimal mounting.
and demounting of the tyre without the need to use the bead lifter lever.
- Pneumatic wheel lift, to load and unload the wheel from the work area.
Controls are grouped on:
- an adjustable ergonomic console,
- a touch screen, for confi guring and viewing machine functions, and a pedal unit.
This confi guration allows the operator to work safely, without having to move from his
work station.
Each machine has a data plate Fig. 7, with
information about the machine and some
technical data.
As well as the manufacturer's details, the plate
indicates:
Mod. - Machine model;
V - power supply voltage in Volts;
A - Input voltage in Amperes;

kW - Absorbed power in kW;
Hz - Frequency in Hz;
Ph - Number of phases;
bar - Operating pressure in bar;
Serial No. - serial number of the machine;
ISO 9001 - Certifi cation of the company's Quality System;
EC - EC marking.
