During this operation, noise levels assessed at 85 dB(A) may occur.
Therefore operators are advised to wear hearing protection devices.
The breakage of a pressurised rim or tyre could cause an explosion that projects
the wheel to the side or upwards with a force that could cause damage, serious
injuries or even death!
Do not mount tyres on rims without fi rst checking the exact correspondence of the
dimensions (printed on the rim and tyre) and for the presence of defects or damage.
This tyre changer is NOT a safety device and does not eliminate risks and damage
from a possible explosion. Keep all other persons away from the work area.
5.7.b. Infl ating tyres
1. Ensure the wheel is clamped securely on the
turntable by the centring handle (Fig. 29a).
2. Ensure that the tool holder head, the lower
bead breaker and the bead depressor are out of
the work area and, if possible, in the rest position.
3. Remove the valve stem core if not already done
(Fig. 29b).
4. Connect the Doyfe infl ation fi tting of the hose
to the valve stem (Fig. 29c).
5. Press
and the beads will seat.
If necessary
6. Continue with infl ation to the maximum value of 3.5 bar to
correctly position the tyre on the rim. Avoid distractions during
this procedure, and watch the tyre pressure continuously on
the air pressure gauge (1, Fig. 29d) to prevent overinfl ation.
Infl ating tubeless tyres requires a larger air fl ow
to force the beads past the HUMP rim - see rim
profi les for mounting tubeless tyres in fi g Fig.29e.
