SUSTITUCION PASTILLAS FRENO

FRENOS).
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete.
Las siguientes operaciones se refieren a una
sola pinza pero tienen validez incluso para
ambas.
Utilizando una pinza tome la cabeza antes de un eje y
luego del otro y gírelos lo suficiente para poner en po-
sición de extracción los dos pasadores elásticos de
bloqueo (1).
Extraiga los dos pasadores elásticos de bloqueo (1).
Extraiga los dos ejes (2).
Guarde la tapa (3) de protección.
Utilizando una pinza coja antes una pastilla y
luego la otra, sacúdalas moderadamente en
sentido transversal para eliminar la eventual presión
de los émbolos y para extraer más fácilmente las
pastillas.
Extraiga las dos pastillas (4).
Tras haber quitado las pastillas, no accione la
palanca mando freno en cuanto los émbolos
de la pinza podrían salirse de su sede con
consiguiente pérdida del líquido frenos.
Introduzca dos nuevas pastillas, colocándolas de ma-
nera que los agujeros queden alineados con los agu-
jeros de la pinza.
Sustituya siempre ambas pastillas y controle
su correcta posición en el interior de la pinza.
Coloque la tapa (3) de protección con la flecha impre-
sa dirigida hacia arriba.
Introduzca los dos ejes (2).
Introduzca los dos pasadores elásticos de bloqueo (1).
Controle el nivel líquido frenos, véase pág. 2-30 (FRE-
NOS).
CHANGING THE BRAKE PADS
Carefully read p. 9-16 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENER-
AL INFORMATION) and page 2-31 (BRAKE PADS).
Position the vehicle on the stand.
The following operations are referred to a sin-
gle caliper, but are valid for both.
By means of a spanner, take the head of one pin and
then the head of the other and rotate them as much as
necessary to bring the two locking pins (1) in a position
from which they can be withdrawn.
Withdraw the two locking pins (1).
Withdraw the two pins (2).
Take the protection cover (3).
By means of a spanner, take one pad and then
the other and moderately shake them in the
transversal direction, in such a way as to eliminate
any pressure exerted by the pins and make it easier
to extract the pads.
Extract the two pads (4).
After removing the pads, do not operate the
brake control lever, otherwise the caliper pins
may go out of their seats with a consequent
leakage of brake fluid.
Insert two new pads, positioning them so that the holes
are aligned with the holes present on the caliper.
Always change both pads and make sure that
they are correctly positioned inside the cali-
per.
Position the protection cover (3) with the stamped ar-
row directed upwards.
Insert the two pins (2).
Insert the two locking elastic pins (1).
Check the brake fluid level, see p. 2-30 (BRAKES).
