SUSTITUCIÓN PASTILLAS FRENO
Lea con cuidado pág. 9-15 (PRECAUCIONES E INFOR-
MACIONES GENERALES) y pág. 2-31 (PASTILLAS
FRENOS).
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete.
Quite la tapa de plástico (1).
Extraiga el eje (2) y guarde el muelle aprieta-pastillas
(3).
Utilizando una pinza tome antes una pastilla y
luego la otra y sacúdalas moderadamente en
sentido transversal para eliminar la eventual presión
de los émbolos y para extraer más fácilmente las pas-
tillas.
Extraiga las dos pastillas (4).
Tras haber quitado las pastillas no accione la
palanca mando freno en cuanto los émbolos
de la pinza podrían salirse de su sede con
consiguiente pérdida del líquido frenos.
Introduzca dos nuevas pastillas colocándolas de ma-
nera que los agujeros queden alineados con los aguje-
ros de la pinza.
Sustituya siempre ambas pastillas y controle
su correcta posición en el interior de la pinza.
Coloque el muelle aprieta-pastillas (3).
Manteniendo el muelle aprieta-pastillas (3) apretado
en la parte central, introduzca el eje (2) de manera que
pase por encima del mismo.
Coloque la tapa de plástico (1).
Controle el nivel del líquido frenos, véase pág. 2-29
(FRENOS).
CONTROL DISCO FRENO
Operaciones a realizar con disco freno insta-
lado en la rueda.
Controle el desgaste del disco midiendo con un micró-
metro, en varios puntos, el espesor mínimo.
Si el espesor mínimo fuera inferior al valor mínimo,
aunque en un solo punto, sustituya el disco, véase
pág. 9-123 (DESMONTAJE DISCOS DE FRENO).
Valor mínimo del espesor del disco: 4 mm
Utilizando un comparador, controle que la oscilación
máxima del disco no supere la tolerancia, en caso
contrario sustitúyalo, véase pág. 9-123 (DESMONTA-
JE DISCOS DE FRENO).
Tolerancia de oscilación del disco: 0,3 mm
CHANGING THE BRAKE PADS
Carefully read p. 9-16 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENER-
AL INFORMATION) and page 2-31 (BRAKE PADS).
Position the vehicle on the stand.
Remove the plastic cover (1).
Withdraw the pin (2) and take the pad pressing spring
(3).
By means of a spanner, take one pad and then
the other and moderately shake them in the
transversal direction, in such a way as to eliminate
any pressure exerted by the pins and make it easier
to extract the pads.
Extract the two pads (4).
After removing the pads, do not operate the
brake control lever, otherwise the caliper pins
may go out of their seats with a consequent
leakage of brake fluid.
Insert two new pads, positioning them so that the holes
are aligned with the holes present on the caliper.
Always change both pads and make sure that
they are correctly positioned inside the cali-
per.
Position the pad pressing spring (3).
Keeping the pad pressing spring (3) compressed in the
central part, insert the pin (2) so that it passes over the
spring.
Position the plastic cover (1).
Check the brake fluid level, see p. 2-30 (BRAKES).
CHECKING THE BRAKE DISC
Operations to be performed with the brake
disc installed on the wheel.
Check the wear on the disc by measuring the minimum
thickness in several places by means of a micrometer.
If, even in one point of the disc only, the minimum thick-
ness is below the minimum value, change the disc,
p. 9-123 (REMOVING THE BRAKE DISCS).
Brake disc min. thickness: 4 mm
Using a comparator, make sure that the maximum run
out of the disc does not exceed the limit value, other-
wise change it, p. 9-123 (REMOVING THE BRAKE
DISCS).
Brake disc max. run out : 0.3 mm
