What distances and dimensions must be observed
Holes are symmetrically arranged in a matrix (hole in the intersection of the verti-
cal and horizontal lines). The bigger the label, the greater the distance of the
holes (spacing approx. 8 to 15 mm).
Rows of holes start at a distance of 7-10 mm from the edge of the tamp pad.
A number of holes may not be less than 10! Large labels have up to 70 holes.
Helpful tips before starting
With a pencil, mark the position of the label on the tamp pad, as it is output by the
printer. It specifies the basic dimensions of your hole matrix.
Draw the grid of the drilling matrix onto the tamp pad and check whether all holes
will be covered by the label.
Incorrect holes from the inside of the tamp pad will be subject to wear (e.g. mask-
ing...). Holes that are subsequently not covered by the label will lead to vacuum
loss and thus to failures (interruption of the labelling operation).
Create a photo copy of the finished perforated tamp pad as an exact template, in
case duplicates must be created.

Approach
The associated stamp seal is placed between air distributor and tamp pad.
For label lengths beyond 60 mm the centre divider of the seal must be cut
out, so that this area of the tamp pad can also be supplied with vacuum or
compressed air. Further sealing compounds are neither recommended nor
necessary!
Attach the seal and tamp pad using the supplied countersunk screws (14
piece) to the manifold plate.
