Chapter 2 Safety regulations
Obligations of the operator
These operating instructions are a component of the labeller, and must always be kept at
hand.
In order to ensure a safe operation of the labelling machine, the operator shall be obligat-
ed to
make sure that the safety of people working on the labeller is always guaranteed.
that technical data and information regarding the assembly, connection, ambient
and operating conditions is consistently respected.
ensure the compliance with the labeller-specific safety regulations.
make sure that the use of personal protective equipment is observed.
ensure that signs or danger notices regarding danger zones are replaced in case
of damage or loss.
ensure that persons which need to be instructed or trainees are under the con-
stant supervision of an experienced person.
make sure that all work on the electrical equipment is only carried out by qualified
electricians.
ensure that all faults on the system are eliminated by trained personnel, or by
technicians from the Bluhm-Weber-Group.
make sure that the technical personnel is properly trained for the handling of the
integrated controller, before parameter settings are carried out.

Approved persons
Approved persons pursuant to these operating instructions, are the following persons:
Operators are persons who
were trained on the labeller
have exceeded the legally required minimum age limit.
have read and understood the operating instructions.
Operators are authorized to
start or stop the labelling operation.
to renew labels or color ribbons.
perform daily incidental cleaning work in accordance with the chapter Mainte-
nance/Repair.
Technical personnel are operators who
have completed a technical training (electrical technician,
mechanic).
have successfully completed a training course from the Bluhm-Weber Group.
Technical personnel is entitled to
conduct repair and maintenance work on the labelling machine and its compo-
nents.
