Explanation
DIP is the abbreviation for "Dual In-line Package". DIP-
Switchs are miniature switches which are equipped with 4 to
8 switches. With these switches, the switching state (open /
closed) can be alternated with a pointed object (pencil etc.).
The configuration of the labeller is set depending on the
switch position.
Unit that picks the label through vacuum, transports it to the
product and places it there
Unit that picks the label through vacuum, transports it to the
product and applies it there
Drilled plate of the dispensing tamp, to which the peeled-off
label is passed
Display panel where the status information is shown to the
operator.
The edge (front or rear) of a product or a label is used by the
sensor for the detection of the product or respectively the
label gap.
Includes all basic factory settings of the system which, how-
ever, may differ from the state after a system start-up. Soft-

(default values), and the previously adjusted values will be
lost.
The [feed] button enables the transport of a label.
Home position of the dispensing tamp at the peel bar
Sensor for the acquisition of the end position, when the dis-

Customer support during the quick diagnostics over the
phone
Unit for the application of labels
An optical sensor (diffuse reflection light scanner) which is
used to detect the label end
The feeding of a label. During the printing process or if the
[feed] button is actuated, the drive motor of the print module
will be activated, and label strip transport started (dancer arm
releases the unwinder brake). The fed label is printed (if nec-
essary) within the print module and detached from the carrier
paper at the peel bar
Spacing between two labels on the carrier strip. The gap is
detected by the applicator via a (label) sensor
See Label sensor
An optical sensor which detects the gap between labels
Specifies the label format: Width x length (in the travel direc-
tion of the label strip), and is measured in millimetres [mm]
Silicon-coated backing strip, on which individual labels are
stuck
