Chapter 6 Installation and initial commissioning
Installation
DE
Only an optimally aligned system installation is able to ensure a trouble-free continuous
operation with minimal wear. For an optimal system installation, a fine-tuning that is
adapted to the application conditions is absolutely essential. The fine-tuning requires an
extensive expertise which is primarily founded on experience gained from working with la-
belling technology.
Since this specific expertise can not be fully conveyed by the operating instructions, it is
GB
required that the installation of the labeller is performed by a Bluhm Weber Group tech-
nician, or an approval is issued through a final inspection. Damages or consequential
damages which are attributable to an improper installation without the necessary fine-
tuning, shall not be covered by the warranty.
Requirements for the installation location
Positioning of the labeller
Version: 24.05.2016
Closed and clean room.
Flat, solid surface, roughness may not exceed 5 mm when using frames from the
Weber Group.
Sufficient floor load-bearing capacity.
Low-vibration environment.
Adequate lighting: 500 Lx.
No direct irradiation by sunlight or radiators.
The machine may not be operated in the vicinity of electrostatic or magnetic
fields. This can cause controller failures.
Proper energy supply (electricity, compressed air) according to the Chapter
"Technical data".
With a retracted applicator (in the home position at the peel bar), the labeller may
not come into contact with the product.
The panned out or extended applicator must be as parallel to the product surface
as possible. However, depending on the application mode (see p. 28) it may not
be allowed to touch the product (distance: 10-50 mm).
The installation location must allow a sufficient access for the operators and ser-
vice technicians. Especially the power switch/plug to disconnect the mains volt-
age must be easily accessible.
Make sure that all fasteners are secured with a sufficient firmness.
Observe all the points of the "intended use" in the Chapter Safety regulations.
