Chapter 6 Installation and initial commissioning

DIP-Switch [SW4]

DE
The fourth DIP-switch configures the response of the system to incoming *trigger impuls-
es. The labeller can ignore a trigger signal that it registered during a print-application cy-
cle. Only when the cycle is complete it is possible to enable the next printing-application
cycle through a "new" trigger.

Function of the potentiometer TR1 / TR2

Poti [TR1↑]
Basically, this trimmer potentiometer (short Poti) basically controls the delay of the label
printing (time interval between the blow-off/application of a label and the printing start of
the next label). I.e. if a too short delay time was selected, the printing of the subsequent
label would start before the tamps has reached the home position.
Turning the potentiometer to an end stop position *³ (min./max. setting), will activate a cer-
tain function depending on the DIP switch setting (see below).
Poti [TR2↓]
The potentiometer [TR2] regulates the delay of the label blow-off/application (time interval
between the beginning of the tamp extension movement, movement towards the product,
and the application of the label). I.e. if a too short delay time was selected, the label would
be blown-off before the dispensing tamp was fully extended.
Turning the potentiometer to an end stop position *³ (min./max. setting), will activate a cer-
tain function depending on the DIP switch setting (see below).
Turn the min. position potentiometer counter-clockwise up to the stopper. Turn the max. position potentiometer clock-
wise up to the stopper.

The *trigger impulse will be ignored. The labeller will react as already de-
scribed.
The *trigger impulse will not be ignored. If a triggering is still executed
(due too low product distance), the labeller will switch to fault.
The Legi-Air 2050 now works in the conveyor mode (Conveyor belt con-
trol mode). The SYNC signal can be used to start or stop the conveyor
belt.
During the labelling cycle, incoming trigger signals will be ignored (comp.
page 48).
The Legi-Air 2050 now works in the Tamp-Blow-Mode (Application
modes see page 28).

The printing of the label is triggered. >>> With the trigger, the label
is printed and immediately blown-off afterwards.
