Chapter 7 Operation
Functions of the control elements
The [START] button has 3 functions. It is used to:
1 - start the labelling operation.
[START]
2 - acknowledge an error message.
3 - trigger the labelling cycle (JOG function, instead of a photocell)
The [RESET]-button is accessible through an opening in the control panel. After
each change of a DIP-Switch or potentiometer - [TR1↑] and [TR2↓] position, the
[RESET]
[reset] button must be pressed to apply the new setting.
The two trimming potentiometers [TR1↑] and [TR2↓] are accessible through
[ TR1↑]
openings in the control panel of the applicator (see Fig. 7-1 on page 52). Their
adjustment can drastically affect the application behaviour and in particular the
[ TR2↓]
signal states of the labeller interface
CD
The light-emitting diodes (in short LEDs) indicate different states of the labeller.
CU
They are linked to the respective solenoid valves in the applicator tower and
AB
illuminate once the respective valve is active.
In addition, the light-emitting diodes indicate a cause of error in case of a fault.

The four DIP-Switches [SW1], [SW2], [SW3], [SW4] are accessible through an

opening in the control panel of the labeller, and are used for the configuration of
different print-application cycles.
