Chapter 6 Installation and initial commissioning
Insert labels and ribbon
For information on how to insert the labels and ribbon can be found in the supplied
printer manual, and as a video tutorial on the screen of the printer.
As the backing strip for the labelling operation is wound up in the Legi-Air 2050, the video
"Rewinder (winder)" applies accordingly.

Prerequisites
Tamp pad is drilled and installed
Full control of the product handling
One or more sample products
Print media (labels, possibly ribbon) are properly inserted (see page 51)
Labeller is connected to electricity and compressed air
Print data can be sent to the print module
Triggering of the labelling is possible via Product Detector or I/O interface
Instruction
This is how the labelling machine can be put into operation.

Hazards from moving parts.
RISK OF INJURY!
Catchment and crushing risk through pneumatically or electrical-
ly powered components of the labeller.
Movements or rotations start in the labelling operation suddenly
and abruptly.
̶ Do not reach into, towards or between moving parts.
Approach
Place the product onto the conveyor route at a distance of 1-2 m from the
labeller.
Switch on the labeller. Also refer to "Labeller on/off switching" in the chapter
"Operation".
RISK OF CRUSHING! Maintain an adequate distance from moving parts.

Press the [Start] button on the display to enable the labelling operation.

Depending on the system configuration the Legi-Air 2050 will execute the
printing process after the data transfer has completed.
Send print data to the printer.
Switch on the conveyor system to feed products.
