7.7.1 DESMONTAJE

Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Desmonte el protector de cárter, véase 7.1.9 (DES-
X
MONTAJE PROTECTOR DE CARTER).
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central
X
sobre un especial caballete de sostén fijado en los pi-
votes del caballete central y sobre una plataforma ele-
vadora con la rueda delantera saliente del borde de la
plataforma.

Provea a equilibrar el vehículo para que no
caiga.
Compruebe la estabilidad del vehículo.
Levante la plataforma elevadora de unos 250 mm.

Destornille y quite el tornillo (1) soltando la abrazadera
X
(2).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (3) y guarde la arandela,
X
soltando el collar (4).
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (5) de sujeción pin-
X
za freno delantero (6) y guarde las correspondientes
arandelas.
Par de apriete tornillos (5): 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Extraiga la pinza freno (6) del disco.

Para la ejecución de las siguientes operacio-
nes no es necesario quitar el carenado delan-
tero, sino que su desmontaje permite tener mayor li-
bertad de movimiento, véase 7.1.14 (DESMONTAJE
CARENADO DELANTERO).
Actuando por la parte inferior del carenado delantero
X
desconecte el reenvío velocímetro/cuentakilómetros
del salpicadero y extráigalo del collar.

Destornille el tornillo (7).
X
Par de apriete tornillo (7): 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Afloje y quite la tuerca superior (8).
X
Par de apriete de la tuerca (8): 100 Nm (10 kgm).

Utilice un soporte adecuado para sostener el
manillar que queda conectado al vehículo por
medio de los cables y del tubo freno.
Maneje con mucho cuidado.
No fuerce los cables eléctricos o bien el tubo del fre-
no.
Levante el manillar (9) junto con la placa superior (10),

extrayéndola de la horquilla.
Plegue el manillar (9) junto con la placa superior (10)
X
hacia adelante y sujételo provisionalmente.

Durante el reensamblaje la placa superior (10)
tiene que insertarse en la botella de la horqui-
lla hasta hacer coincidir el borde superior de
ambas.

7.7.1 DISASSEMBLY
Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMA-
TION) carefully.
Remove the oil pan guard, see 7.1.9 (REMOVING
X
THE OIL PAN GUARD).

o Position the vehicle on the centre stand
X
apposite support stand fixed to the centre stand cou-
plings, on a lifting platform, with the front wheel pro-
truding from the platform edge.

Put a proper support under the vehicle, in or-
der to prevent it from falling down.
Make sure that the vehicle is stable.
Raise the lifting platform of about 250 mm.

Unscrew and remove the screw (1), releasing the
X
clamp (2).
Unscrew and remove the screw (3) and take the wash-
X
er, releasing the collar (4).
Unscrew and remove the two screws (5) that fasten
X
the front brake caliper (6) and take the relative wash-
ers.
Screw (5) driving torque: 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Withdraw the brake caliper (6) from the disc.
X

To perform the following operations it is not
necessary to remove the front fairing, but it is
advisable to do it in order to be able to move more
comfortably, see 7.1.14 (REMOVING THE FRONT
FAIRING).
Working on the lower part of the front fairing, discon-
X
nect the speedometer/odometer control from the dash-
board and withdraw it from the collar.

Unscrew the screw (7):
X
Screw (7) driving torque: 50 Nm (5 kgm).
Loosen and remove the upper nut (8).
X
Nut (8) driving torque: 100 Nm (10 kgm).

Use a proper support for the handlebars,
which remain connected to the vehicle
through the electric cables and the brake pipe.
Proceed with care.
Do not force the electric cables or the brake pipe.
Lift the handlebars (9) together with the upper plate
X
(10), withdrawing the latter from the fork.
Bend the handlebars (9), complete with upper plate
X
(10), forwards and fix it temporarily.

When reassembling the upper plate (10), in-
sert it in the fork slider until the upper edges
coincide.
