7.1.10 DESMONTAJE SILENCIADORES DE ESCAPE

Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Desmonte los paneles laterale, véase 7.1.4 (DES-

MONTAJE PANELES LATERALES DERECHO E IZ-
QUIERDO).
Destornille un poco los dos tornillos (1) sobre las dos
X
abrazaderas (2).

Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (7).
X
Par de apriete tornillos (7): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm)
+
Quite el estribo pasajero (8) completo.
X

Destornille y quite los tres tornillos (3).
X
Par de apriete tornillos (3): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm)
+
Extraiga el silenciador de escape izquierdo (4) del
X
correspondiente tubo de escape (5).

Quite el silenciador de escape izquierdo (4).
X

Tape las aberturas de los tubos de escape im-
pidiendo la entrada de cuerpos exteriores.
7.1.11 DESMONTAJE VASTAGO SILLIN
Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES).
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central

sobre un especial caballete de sostén fijado en los pi-
votes del caballete central.
Quite los silenciadores de escape, véase 7.1.10 (DES-
X
MONTAJE SILENCIADORES DE ESCAPE).
Quite el portaequipajes, véase 7.1.5 (DESMONTAJE
X
PORTAEQUIPAJES TRASERO).
Quite el soporte portamatrícula, véase 7.1.7 (DES-
X
MONTAJE SOPORTE PORTAMATRICULA).
Quite el vano portadocumentos/kit de herramientas,
X
véase 7.1.8 (DESMONTAJE VANO PORTADOCU-
MENTOS/KIT HERRAMIENTAS).
Quite la caja del filtro, véase 7.1.12 (DESMONTAJE
X
CAJA FILTRO).
Desenganche del correspondiente soporte el pomo (6)
X
de ajuste del mínimo.

Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (7).
X
Par de apriete tornillos (7): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm)
+
Quite el estribo pasajero (8) completo.
X
Abra un poco las dos lengüetas (9) soltando el tubo y
X
el cable eléctrico.
Destornille y quite el tornillo (10) y guarde la arandela.
X

Trate que el depósito (11) del líquido del freno
trasero se mantenga en posición vertical y
que no se vuelque porque podría salir el líqui-
do.

Suelte todos los cables y los tubos de sus co-
rrespondientes abrazaderas de bloqueo.
Prepare el mismo número de abrazaderas
para sustituirlas a las originales durante el reensam-
blaje.

Destornille y quite el tornillo (12) y guarde la arandela.

Par de apriete tornillo (12): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm)

Destornille y quite el tornillo (13) y guarde la arandela.

Par de apriete tornillo (13): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm)
Quite el vástago del sillín (14).

7.1.10 REMOVING THE EXHAUST SILENCERS
Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMA-
TION)) carefully.
Remove the sides, see 7.1.4 (REMOVING THE

RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES).
Loosen the two screws (1) on the two clamps (2).

Unscrew and remove the two screws (7).
X
Screw (7) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).

Remove the whole passenger's footrest (8).
X

Unscrew and remove the three screws (3).
X
Screw (3) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
+
Withdraw the left exhaust silencer (4) from the rele-
X
vant exhaust pipe (5).
+
Remove the left exhaust silencer (4).
X

Plug the exhaust pipe openings, to avoid any
accidental introduction of foreign matters.
7.1.11 REMOVING THE SADDLE PILLAR
Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMA-
TION) carefully.

o Position the vehicle on the centre stand

apposite support stand fixed to the centre stand cou-
plings.
Remove the exhaust silencers, see 7.1.10 (REMOV-
X
ING THE EXHAUST SILENCERS).
Remove the luggage rack, see 7.1.5 (REMOVING
X
THE REAR LUGGAGE RACK).
Remove the number plate holder, see 7.1.7 (REMOV-
X
ING THE NUMBER PLATE HOLDER).
Remove the glove compartment, see 7.1.8 (REMOV-
X
ING THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT).
Remove the filter casing, see 7.1.12 (REMOVING THE
X
AIR CLEANER CASING).
Release the idling adjusting knob (6) from the relevant
X
support.

Unscrew and remove the two screws (7).
X
Screw (7) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
+
Remove the whole passenger's footrest (8).
X
Slightly open the two tangs (9), thus releasing the pipe
X
and the electric cable.
Unscrew and remove the screw (10) and take the
X
washer.

Make sure that the rear brake fluid tank (11)
remains in vertical position and does not
overturn, in order to avoid any outflow of
brake fluid.

Release all the cables and pipes from the fas-
tening clamps positioned along them.
Get other clamps to be used for the reassem-
bly.

Unscrew and remove the screw (12) and take the

washer.
Screw (12) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).

Unscrew and remove the screw (13) and take the
X
washer.
Screw (13) driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
Remove the saddle pillar (14).
