SYMPTOM AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
Noise seem to come from engine shaft or from counter-
shaft.
1) Engine shaft or countershaft bearings worn.
2) Bearing of big end of connecting rod worn.
3) Excessive endl play of engine shaft or countershaft.
4) Countershaft gear unit defective.
Noise seems to come from clutch.
1) Tooth flanks of primary transmission worn.
2) Clutch case, clutch disc hub and disc spring carrier worn.
3) Clutch discs (lined or smooth) worn or defective.
4) Clutch case bearings worn.
Noise seems to come from primary transmission or from
gearshift.
1) Tooth flanks of gearshift gears worn.
2) Gear shaft bearings worn.
3) Speed gear roller cages worn.
1) Clutch control badly adjusted.
2) Insufficient clutch play.
3) Clutch springs weakened.
4) Lined clutch discs worn out.
1) Unsuitable type of oil.
1) Clutch control badly adjusted.
2) Clutch discs (smooth or lined) deformed or worn out.
3) Guide grooves for lined discs in clutch case worn.
