7.8.1 CONTROL NIVEL ACEITE

Lea con cuidado 1.2.3 (ACEITE PARA HORQUILLA) y
2.25 (HORQUILLA DELANTERA).
En caso de que note que la horquilla se hunde excesiva-
mente, es necesario controlar el nivel de aceite en las ba-
rras.

Desenrosque y quite el tapón (1) y guarde la junta

tórica (2).
Par de apriete tapón (1): 20 Nm (2 kgm)

Extraiga el semianillo (3).

Extraiga el anillo portaresorte (4).
X

El tapón de precarga (5) y el resorte (6) están
sumergidos en aceite.
Evite gotear cuando los extraiga.

Extraiga el tapón de precarga (5).

Extraiga el resorte (6).
X
Lleve hasta el tope la carrera de la horquilla, introduz-
X
ca una varilla calibrada (metro) en la barra y controle
que queden 140 mm de aire desde el borde superior
de la barra hasta el nivel del aceite 140.

7.8.2 DESMONTAJE HORQUILLA COMPLETA
Lea con cuidado 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMA-
CIONES GENERALES) y 2.25 (HORQUILLA DELAN-
TERA).
Extraiga el guardabarros delantero , véase 7.1.6

Extraiga la rueda delantera, véase 7.2.1 (DESMON-

TAJE).
Para la extracción de la horquilla completa (en caso de
sustitución) lea con cuidado las instrucciones, véase

7.8.1 CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL

Read 1.2.3 (FORK OIL) and 2.25 (FRONT FORK)care-
fully.
If the fork is found to reach the end of its stroke, it is nec-
essary to check the oil level of the fork tubes.

Unscrew and remove the plug (1) and take the O-

ring (2).
Plug (1) driving torque: 20 Nm (2 kgm).

Withdraw the half-ring (3).

Withdraw the spring ring (4).
X

The preload tube (5) and the spring (6) guide
tube are immersed in oil.
Avoid dripping oil during the extraction.

Withdraw the preload tube (5).

Withdraw the spring (6).

Move the fork to the end-of-stroke, insert a calibrated
X
dipstick (metre) in one of the fork tubes and make sure
that 140 mm of air remain between the upper edge of
the fork and the oil.

7.8.2 REMOVING THE WHOLE FORK
Read 1.4 (PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMA-
TION) and 2.25 (FRONT FORK) carefully.
Remove the front mudguard, see 7.1.6 (REMOVING

THE FRONT MUDGUARD UNIT).
Remove the front wheel, see 7.2.1 (DISASSEMBLY).

For the removal of the whole fork (in case of replace-
ment), keep to the instructions, see 7.7.1 (DISASSEM-
