SISTEMA DE ALIMENTACIÓN
Lea con cuidado 1.2.1 (COMBUSTIBLE) y 1.4 (PRE-
CAUCIONES E INFORMACIONES GENERALES).

Los vapores del combustible perjudican la sa-
lud. Antes de proceder, cerciórese que el local
en el cual se trabaja tenga una buena ventila-
ción. No inhale los vapores de combustible.
Evite el contacto del combustible con la piel.
No fume y no utilice llamas libres.
No esparza el combustible en el medio ambiente.

4.1.1 MANTENIMIENTO

Controle el grifo del combustible tras los primeros 1000
km (o 4 meses) y sucesivamente cada 6000 km (u 8 me-
ses).
Los filtros (1-2) colocados en el grifo deben limpiarse pe-
riódicamente, véase 4.3 (DESMONTAJE GRIFO COM-
BUSTIBLE), ya que los mismos retienen las posibles im-
purezas del combustible y con el tiempo no podría llegar
suficiente combustible cuando el motor funciona normal-
mente.

Durante esta operación se aconseja lavar
completamente el depósito.
4.1.2 CONTROL ALIMENTACION COMBUSTIBLE
Controle los tubos del combustible cada 6000 km (u 8
meses).
Si se producen pérdidas de combustible en la zona del
grifo (3) y/o de la sonda de nivel combustible (6) éstas
podrían ser causadas porque las juntas tóricas (4-5) es-
tán dañadas.
Controle el estado de las mismas y, si es necesario, sus-
titúyalas, véanse 4.3 (DESMONTAJE GRIFO COM-
BUSTIBLE) y 4.4 (DESMONTAJE SONDA NIVEL
COMBUSTIBLE).
Abra el tapón del combustible y controle que el purgador
del depósito no esté obstruido, eventualmente desatás-
quelo utilizando un chorro de aire bajo presión.
Sustituya siempre los tubos del combustible que presen-
ten grietas o cortes.

Fuel vapours are noxious for the health.
Before proceeding, make sure that the room
in which you are working is properly ventilat-
ed. Do not inhale fuel vapours.
Avoid any contact of the fuel with the skin.
Neither smoke, nor use naked flames.
Do not dispose of fuel in the environment.
4.1.1 MAINTENANCE

Remember: 1 mile = 1.6 km
1 km = 0.625 miles
Check the fuel cock after the first 1000 km (or 4 months)
and successively every 6000 km (or 8 months).
The filters (1-2) located on the cock must be cleaned pe-
riodically, see 4.3 (REMOVING THE FUEL COCK),
since any impurities in the fuel are held back on the fil-
ters and in the long run this may result in the flowing of
an insufficient quantity of fuel for the regular running of
the engine.

During this operation, it is also advisable to
wash the tank completely.
4.1.2 CHECKING THE FUEL SUPPLY
Check the fuel pipes every 6000 km (or 8 months).
If fuel leaks occur near the cock (3) and/or near the fuel
level gauge unit (6), this may be caused by damaged O-
rings (4-5).
Check their conditions and replace them if necessary,
see 4.3 (REMOVING THE FUEL COCK) and 4.4 (RE-
MOVING THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE UNIT).
Open the fillercap and make sure that the vent on the
tank is not clogged; if necessary clean it by means of a
compressed air jet.
Fuel pipes showing cracks or cuts must always be
changed.
