2.12 CONTROL DEL NIVEL DEL ACEITE
DEL MOTOR Y RELLENO
Lea con mucha atención 1.2.2 (ACEITE DEL MO-
TOR) y 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMACIONES GE-
NERALES).
Controle cada 500 km.
Apague el motor y hágalo enfriar por diez minutos, por
lo menos, permitiendo de esta manera el drenaje del
aceite en el cárter y el enfriamiento del aceite mismo.
Arranque nuevamente el motor y hágalo girar al ralentí
por un minuto aproximadamente, para que el depósito
del aceite se llene.
Apague el motor.
Mantenga el vehículo en posición vertical y con las
dos ruedas apoyadas sobre el piso.

Si no realiza la operaciones arriba menciona-
das, la medición del nivel puede resultar equi-
vocada.
Desenrosque y extraiga el tapón/varilla de medición
(1).
Limpie la parte que tiene contacto con el aceite con un
paño limpio.
Introduzca el tapón/varilla en el orifico de introducción
(2), sin enroscarlo.
Extraiga nuevamente el tapón/varilla de medición (1) y
lea el nivel que el aceite alcanzó en la varilla:
MAX = nivel máximo.
MIN = nivel mínimo.
La diferencia entre "MAX" y "MIN" es de 300 cm
aproximadamente.
El nivel es correcto cuando se acerca al nivel "MAX",
que está señalado sobre la varilla de medición.

Para no provocar graves daños al motor, el ni-
vel no debe sobrepasar la marca "MAX" y no
debe quedar por debajo de la marca "MIN".
Si es necesario, restablezca el nivel de aceite del mo-
tor a través del orificio de introducción (2), tras haber
quitado el tapón/varilla de medición (1).

2.12 CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL

AND TOPPING UP
Read carefully 1.2.2 (ENGINE OIL) and 1.4 (PRECAU-
TIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION).
Check oil every 500 km.
Switch off engine and let it to cool down for at least ten
minutes, thus allowing the oil to flow back into the oil
pan and cool down.
Switch on engine again and let it idle for at least one
minute in order to fill the oil tank.
Switch off the engine.
Keep vehicle in a vertical position, with both wheels
resting on the ground.

If you fail to carry out the above operations
you will risk making an incorrect measure-
ment of the oil level.
Unscrew and take out the plug/dipstick (1)
Clean the part in contact with the oil with a clean cloth.
Insert plug/dipstick completely into inlet hole (2) with-
out screwing it.
Take out plug/dipstick again (1) and read the oil level:
MAX = maximum level.
MIN = minimum level.
The difference between "MAX" and "MIN" is circa
300 cm .

The level is correct if oil approximately reaches the
"MAX" mark on the dipstick.

Do not exceed the "MAX" mark nor allow oil to
go below the "MIN" mark in order to avoid seri-
ous damage to the engine.
If necessary, top up the engine oil tank through the in-
let hole (2) after removing the plug/dipstick (1).
