2.14 CONTROL Y RELLENO DEL LÍQUIDO
REFRIGERANTE
Lea con mucha atención 1.2.5 (LÍQUIDO REFRIGE-
RANTE) y 1.4 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMACIONES
GENERALES).
Controle cada 1000 km.

No quite el tapón del depósito de expansión
con el motor aún caliente, porque el líquido
refrigerante está bajo presión y a temperatura
elevada.

Realice las operaciones de control y de relle-
no del líquido refrigerante con el motor frío.
Pare el motor y espere a que se enfríe.

Coloque el vehículo sobre un suelo firme y lla-
no.
Mantenga el vehículo en posición vertical con las dos
ruedas apoyadas sobre el suelo.
Controle que el nivel del líquido, contenido en el depó-
sito de expansión (1), esté comprendido entre las refe-
rencias "MIN" y "MAX" (véase figura).
En caso contrario, desenrosque y quite el tapón de lle-
nado (2).
Rellene hasta que el nivel del líquido alcance aproxi-
madamente el nivel "MAX". No supere este nivel,
porque en caso contrario puede haber una salida del
líquido durante el funcionamiento del motor.
Vuelva a poner el tapón de llenado (2).

En caso de un excesivo consumo de líquido
refrigerante y en caso de que el depósito de
expansion (1) quede vacío, controle que no
haya pérdidas en el circuito.

2.14 CHECKING
AND TOPPING UP COOLANT
Read carefully 1.2.5 (COOLANT) and 1.4 (PRECAU-
TIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION).
Check every 1000 km.

Do not remove the expansion tank cap when
the engine is hot, since the coolant is under
pressure and its temperature is high.

Check the coolant level and top up the expan-
sion tank with cold engine.
Stop the engine and wait until it has cooled down.

Position the vehicle on firm and flat ground.
Keep the vehicle in vertical position, with the two
wheels resting on the ground.
Make sure that the level of the fluid contained in the
expansion tank (1) is included between the "MIN" and
"MAX" marks (see figure).
If not, unscrew and remove the filling plug (2).
Top up until the fluid reaches approx. the "MAX" mark.
Do not exceed this level, otherwise the fluid will flow
out of the tank when the engine is running.
Put back the filling plug (2).

In case of excessive consumption of coolant
and in case the expansion tank (1) remains
empty, make sure that there are no leaks in
the circuit.
