Test Controls
Button Description
Starts the test. Start is available when the test is created and not running.

Stops the test.

Resets the history (H) alarm and error LEDs.
Resets counters (seconds, count, and rate), test timer and both history (H) and
a
current (C) LEDs for the entire test case. Also resets the logger.
Generates a report of the current test. See Test Report Generation on page 42
b
for more information.
Clears the current test. A user's confirmation is required before clearing the
b
test.
Loads a previously saved configuration. Select an existing file and press Open
to confirm. The default directory is
d:\ToolBox\User Files\SonetSdhAnalyzerG2\Configuration. The configuration
b
file extension is cfg.
An error message is displayed and the configuration is not loaded when the file
is corrupted, the module is not properly installed, the hardware or software
options are not compatible, invalid configuration (FTB-8105/15/20/30), or when
the resources or power are not sufficient. Refer to Solving Common Problems
on page 561 for more information.
Saves the current test configuration. Select an existing file, or type a new name
in the File name field, and press Save. The default directory is

d:\ToolBox\User Files\SonetSdhAnalyzerG2\Configuration.
Generates pattern bit error according to the amount selected on the Pattern
a
TX tab. Refer to Pattern Error Injection on page 408.
Indicates that the laser control is off. Pressing this button will activate the laser
immediately by emitting an optical laser signal. This button is only available for
optical interfaces. The laser is On by default when the test is created unless
otherwise set from the Default Test Preferences on page 530.
