PELIGRO
Un disco sucio ensucia las pastillas y por consiguien-
te reduce la eficacia de frenado. Las pastillas sucias
deben ser sustituidas, mientras que el disco sucio
debe ser limpiado con un producto desengrasante de
alta calidad.
De conducir con las llantas dañadas se perjudica la
seguridad propia, de los demás y del vehículo.
Controle las condiciones de la llanta rueda y, de re-
sultar dañada, hágala sustituir.

PELIGRO
Antes de realizar las operaciones que siguen a conti-
nuación, deje enfriar el motor y el silenciador hasta al-
canzar la temperatura ambiente para evitar posibles
quemaduras.
Desmonte el silenciador de escape, véase pág. 139
(DESMONTAJE).
Introduzca el destornillador en el ojal (1), apalanque y
saque la tapa (2).
IMPORTANTE
Para destornillar la tuerca rueda
(3) es necesario bloquear la rotación de la rueda.
Accione hasta el fondo la palanca freno trasero (4), in-
terponga una cartulina (5) y aplique una abrazadera de
plástico (6) para mantener accionada la palanca freno
trasero.
Afloje la tuerca rueda (3).
Par de apriete tuerca rueda (3):
110 Nm (11 kgm).
Saque la abrazadera de plástico (6) y guarde la cartu-
lina (5).
Suelte la palanca del freno trasero.
Desmonte la pinza freno trasero, véase pág. 107
(DESMONTAJE PINZAS FRENOS DELANTERO Y
TRASERO).
Destornille y quite la tuerca rueda (3) y guarde la aran-
dela.
IMPORTANTE
Durante la instalación aplique, de
manera uniforme, una reducida cantidad de grasa sobre el
eje rueda, véase pág. 18 (TABLA LUBRICANTES) y sus-
tituya la tuerca rueda (de tipo especial) con otra nueva.
Extraiga la rueda.

PELIGRO
Tras la instalación, accione varias veces la palanca
del freno trasero y controle el funcionamiento correc-
to del sistema de frenado.
Controle el centrado de la rueda.
Se aconseja llevar a controlar los pares de apriete, el
centrado y el equilibrado ,véase pág. 117 (RUEDAS /
NEUMATICOS) para evitar inconvenientes que po-
drían causar daños graves a los demás y a sí mismo.

A dirty disc soils the pads, with consequent reduction
of the braking efficiency. Dirty pads must be replaced,
while dirty discs must be cleaned with a high-quality
degreaser.
Riding with damaged rims is dangerous for the rider,
the vehicle and other people.
Check the conditions of the wheel rim and have it
changed if it is damaged.

Before carrying out the following operations, let the
engine and the silencer cool down until they reach
room temperature, in order to avoid burns.
Remove the exhaust silencer, see p. 139 (REMOVAL).
Insert the screwdriver in the slot (1), lever and remove
the cover (2).
NOTE
To unscrew the wheel nut (3), it is necessary to
lock the rotation of the wheel.
Pull the rear brake lever (4) completely, then put a
small piece of cardboard (5) on the grip and keep the
rear brake lever pulled by holding it against the grip by
means of a plastic band (6).
Loosen the wheel nut (3).
Wheel nut (3) driving torque:
110 Nm (11 kgm).
Remove the plastic band (6) and take the piece of card-
board (5).
Release the rear brake lever.
Remove the rear brake caliper , see p. 107 (REMOV-
ING THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE CALIPERS).
Unscrew and remove the wheel nut (3) and the washer.
NOTE
Upon reassembly, uniformly apply a moderate
quantity of grease on the wheel pin, see p. 19 (LUBRI-
CANT CHART) and replace the wheel nut (special type)
with a new one.
Withdraw the wheel.

After reassembly, pull the rear brake lever repeatedly
and check the correct functioning of the braking sys-
tem.
Check the wheel centering.
Have the driving torques, centering and balancing of
the wheel checked, see p. 117 (WHEELS / TYRES) in
order to avoid accidents that may be harmful for you
and/or other people.
